As planned the first release of evince went live this afternoon, in readiness for our pilot users who will be using evince during April. Our technical teams have been working around the clock testing and tweaking in preparation for today’s big launch and we are all very impressed with the application, both in terms of the available functionality and quality of the product.
We are already planning the next release in June and are finalising the roadmap for evince over the next twelve months, more on that in the next few weeks. Juliette will also be posting more information about the pilots here on the blog next week for those that are interested.
For those of you that haven’t already noticed, I thought I would take the opportunity to point out the new showcase section here on the evince-online website. This contains details of the upcoming events where you can meet the team, the evince presentation we gave at our roadshows in March and the latest screencasts from various members of the team. We’ll be adding more of these screencasts over the coming weeks, to give you a flavour of the application. If you have any questions or would like to see a screencast on a particular area of functionality then please do get in touch and we’ll see what we can do to help.
Finally, I’d just like to take a moment to publically thank all of those here at Opportunity Links that have worked tirelessly over the last nine months to ensure that today’s release went ahead as planned and on schedule. There are too many people to mention individually but you all know who you are, many thanks guys!
