The duty 12 solution for Families Information Services

Register interest in evince

Two months to go…

With only two months left to procure systems to meet the section 12 duty, we’re seeing incredible activity from LAs, with Kate, Jon and the rest of the team racing round the country and responding to an avalanche of tenders.

The quality of the requirements we’re seeing come out is amazingly high given the short timescales that everyone’s had to get everything together, and we’re really glad to see LAs taking to heart the section 12 outcomes of this procurement rather than just focusing on the technical aspects.

I thought it would be useful to blog some of the feedback we’re getting from recent sales of evince, so this month we welcomed Salford and Darlington (who now have the complete set of ECD, FSD, youth website and CMS from us!). Karen Carney kindly gave us permission to republish her comments on why Salford chose evince:

“We have always had a solid working relationship with Opportunity Links in the past, and have received excellent customer service. We know evince is a robust product and have confidence in its future development”

In other news, we’re hoping that the DCSF will imminently be making a formal announcement on the ISPP vendor which will allow us to finally kick off the integration work that’s been defined by the working groups in the interoperability standards. This means it’s full steam ahead for a full ISPP functionality for the March release!
